The IR turns greens white, but does it enhance the reds? Or do they simply join the dark tones?

The camera has the IR filter removed, which makes it full spectrum. To get the IR 'look' you put a filter over the lense. WIthout that filter you get this.

Took the back off, 6 screws. Took the metal sheilding off, 3 screws. Careful with the ribbon connectors. Removed the sensor mount, 3 screws, 10 turns each. Removed sensor, peeled off rubber boot to remove IR filter, and reverse the process ;-)

Interesting! I'll probably leave it because I like having a dedicated camera instead of my phone (though I haven't used it in years) but a cool project for sure

Went out for a quick wander to see if it works, seems ok. Might try portraits with it, although it sometimes shows veins up that aren't visible with normal cameras.
