As a dude who uses a AI image gen site for some private stuff like references, this is right. I'm learning to do art on a little Lenovo tablet myself for which this is useful, but for actual art I pay artists through Patreon or commissions.
Which is a shame. There ought to be a dedicated public venue, low/no cost, where people can show up, get handed a sketch pad and pencils, and just grab an object -- kitchenware, appliances, action figures, plants, etc -- to just try to draw, with volunteers offering critique. Like...an art gym.
AI can't do anything wrong because it's an unthinking, unfeeling, unknowing computer program. A tool is whatever it is used for, and LLMs and generative AI are used for theft and attempts to cheat workers out of wages.
Any human art is inherently better than AI art! Children colouring in a craft session is inherently better as it is human art! Superb use of that Family Guy meme! Proper art!
You can do more but it’s not very intuitive. For example if you want to cook noodles, it’s best not to use full-length spaghetti but broken halves (thin noodles work best tho). Also for many foods, you may have to open and stir and then re-heat because you cannot stir and cook at the same time.
You might not be in your home. Maybe you’re in a motel/rented holiday place and it doesn’t have a stove. Also you may be disabled one day like me and some days you’ll prefer that the microwave doesn’t pose as much of a risk of burns while using.
Yeah, they got real upset until I showed them it was a 3D model program. They apologized and we laughed it off. Afterwards, they showed me more of their D&D characters ^^
Hey, I'm not advocating for GenAI - I despise that shit with all my heart. I'm just saying that you should know that HeroForge can't do everything going in, and you'll be fine.
To me it's the difference between hyper processed fast food and restaurant quality sure you might not be getting something nutritious or good for you but it's a cheap treat for those that want it

The AI Art person should be a eldritch horror with 3 arms, misshapened fingers, and a glitch appearance.
They can sculpt up models that can be able to produce the same amount of art work as AI but with more consistency, style and hard work put into it
No AI can make art.
That controversy quickly went away when it was clear that a lot of effort goes into making that stuff look good.
AI takes no fucking skill. AI sucks.

Story writing is an art form in its own right.

It was different comparison.
So, yeah, AI did a shit ton wrong.
It's an elephant isn't he cute?
Closest thing to cooking I've seen with a microwave is stuffing a cup of noodles inside, which isn't the recommendation.

Remember: without a quality soul, the product of the best tech is doomed to be second-rate.
Zero excuse to resort to AI honestly
Good point tho, it’s not perfect
Bit of a long thread, I pretty copy and pasted the backstory from his character sheet ^^;

uhh... I'm making an RPG where you play as Santa Claus?

Generated images do not. It's just for people too lazy to put in work or too entitled to pay the craftsman for their work.
