It’s not malicious compliance. The US military hasn’t made a peep about the admin firing respected officers, has been all in with shady defense companies and shadier appointments. It’s executing on everything the admin wants. This isn’t different.

Also, the scope of the issues would imply malicious compliance at an implausible scale. Even if you believed there are people within the military willing to oppose the admin this way, "lack of time to properly drill for the parade" fits what happened better.
Of course they haven’t made a peep. They wouldn’t publicly contradict the CiC. This low energy shit is exactly when they do to demonstrate their displeasure.
Yeah this has malicious compliance all over it, or at the very least not stepping up to “fix it” on purpose. The marching though, no way was that not on purpose.
The Military has actually relatively defended against Trump pretty well, especially when you consider it’s one place he has some more “legitimate” power as CIC.
I hate that you may be correct. I hate it so much that I'm going to pretend the Lance Coolies fucked it up on purpose. That will make it easier for me to live in denial. Long live Willy and Joe!
You would think that retired flag officers would be dropping en masse, at the very least, anonymous quotes to every outfit that would listen but nothing, not a peep.

If Trump wants to be a dictator, he needs the military. With the military, he can do anything he wants. Without it, he is basically powerless.
So if this is the military telling Trump, “We will NOT cooperate with your anti-democratic plan,” he’s toast.
