Same though. Religion and a messed up family forced me to stay in the closet until my thirties. I really do wish we would let people live their lives without some ssahole droning on about a concept that kept the masses in line for a millennia. We’ve evolved past this crap.
Although I’m not a lesbian, as a reformed southern baptist I can state unequivocally that religion caused me more mental issues than I could count. When I left that garbage, I began to be the kind, caring, thoughtful person that I was meant to be.
Years ago, a co-worker of mine told me that he was gay. I told him if he was my child, and came to me with that news. My response to him would be "Oh thank God! I thought you were going to tell me that you killed someone. So, as long as you are happy and feel love. That is all that matters."

I was also raised Catholic... server boy (unmolested thankfully) and the whole bit. But even as a child, I knew my first confession would also be my last.

Let’s not forget that the Catholic Church voted AGAINST excommunicating priests on their 1st offense of child molestation. Priests evidently get 1 freebee I guess 🙃
same. molesters know which kids will be quiet and which ones will tell. the solution was to just relocate the priest to somewhere else. i rarely go to Church anymore, feel like i’ve lost something somewhere, but i do not agree with much of their doctrine, especially as far as women and LGBTQ+ goes
My daughter at 15 came to me and said “Dad! I am pansexual!” I said well I am not sure what it means but go for it dear. But no need to label yourself. I love you whoever you want to be.

I respect ANYONES right to believe & worship what they believe in … EXCEPT… when they those beliefs are weaponized to HURT, DESTROY or DEHUMANIZE others … the problem then becomes 🫵🏼 YOU 🫵🏼 …
If they believed Cinderella was real & called their friend Bob, they'd be on medication & under the care of a qualified professional. They call the voice God & Jesus we allow them to skip taxes even after they sexually assault kids often blaming their imaginary friend
