The appeal is that he’s rich. It literally excuses everything else. Some people have a cult like worship to the obscenely wealthy.

I mean yeah, I probably would if it was just "some dude", but I -DEFINITELY- would if it were Donald Trump.

Some dude might or might not be dangerous to himself or others. Trump provably is. Granted, I'm a cis man and have no pussy to be grabbed by, but the principle stands.
