I wonder if Washington just doesn't have all that many snail species? or snails are just less varied by nature?
If I see a snail around here, it's always This One Kind, with identical coloring. Considering the huge variety of slugs we've got, you'd think a snail is just an armored slug so- huh?

Pacific Sideband. The reason I'm always seeing them is, probably, because they're the largest landsnail in Washington, so well, sure that's what I'd notice.

It's very cool that you get to see native snails! Pretty sure the only native snails we have here are tiny little guys.
