It's a pull, but in the Japanese anime version of the series, there's an experiment that can turn people into dogs and force them to follow commands.

Most of the human cast winds up as dogs by the end of the episode.

The original film is one of my favorite Disney films. Learning about the changes they made to it for this one makes me wonder if the screenwriters even knew what the hell they were doing or if they understood the themes of the original at all.

Nah… the entire idea is to make it so that the movie is for ‘everyone’. Take out anything that might be too weird or actually make people think about the human experience.

That does sound awful. I can't see the live action/3D films they're doing as anything but cash grabs honestly. The original films are considered classics and still hold up really well so these new adaptations seem pointless
