I started tearing up just thinking about it again. The second is that in bloodborne, in the forbidden woods, for a very long time, there were messages left on a small flowery hill that say “ahh, life” and it gave me such a deep pang of human connection that I’ve never forgotten it.

The way Fromsoft makes these games that feel so isolated and are yet dotted with constant reminders of human connection (the phantoms, the messages) has just always felt very special to me.
