A reminder to SAMtools / HTSlib users, from the next release (probably April 2025) CRAM 3.1 will be the default version used. Use "samtools view -O cram,version=3.0" to switch back to the current 3.0.

We initially put it there at their request, but they managed to DDoS themselves in the process. :-) (You can explicitly add it back in REF_PATH if you wish)
Well, I expect wailing and gnashing of teeth whenever we finally get the next htslib out of the door! Can't say people didn't get enough warning though.
Hopefully there will be a point release or something to get IGV loading cram3.1
