I mean, we learned many lessons from the Amber Heard/Johnny Depp debacle, but she was found liable for defamation following an article in which she didn't name Depp at all.
I don't blame you for having a hard time following this (it was a legal clusterfuck in two different countries), but the case I was referring to was in Fairfax County, Virginia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depp_v._Heard
The case in the UK involved Depp suing a group of newspapers for publishing abuse allegations against him in The Sun (Heard was not involved with the articls), and the claim was rejected because the abuse allegations were found by the court to be "substantially true" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depp_v_News_Group_Newspapers_Ltd
No she wasn’t. That case was between Depp and The Sun newspaper. Depp sued them because they called him a wifebeater. Heard was a witness and the wife in question. The judge found that Depp assaulted Heard 12 times including sexual assault.
