Predictably, peace negotiations involving the White House went nowhere. The regime in the White House was peddling a softer version of Russia's demands, which were non-starters. Ukraine doesn’t need Trump to sign such deals.

And Crimea, occupied territory, would be recognized. I don't get why you think Crimea is in any way different than, say, Kherson. This deal literally had little to no upsides for Ukraine.
Russia gets de fact/de jure recognition of occupied territory, Ukraine not joining NATO, and SANCTION relief. Literally no punishment at all for starting this war. Nothing.
This deal sucks from a justice perspective, and does underline how weak the West has been.
But it also has real potential to end the violence and for Ukraine to rebuild as a free independent nation.
US: Hi, Ukraine. How would you like to be stabbed in the back?
UKR: Not so much, actually.
US: Oh, so you don't want peace?
But at least Trump has now shown The World, that he absolutely sucks at negotiating!
A former world power.
All Trump ever really wanted was a Nobel Peace Prize and he didn’t care how he got it.
And no US military hardware.
Lots to do and time to move fast now the US are out of the picture.
Which is a bit frustrating.
