Think it was the free Anfield Wrap show this week where Sean Rogers said City's underlying numbers are terrifying, just hope if they do kick into gear that we're far enough ahead. Just needs to be some wiggle room so our players don't have the "must win every game" type of pressure like in 21/22.
I didn’t watch the game and they defo have issues, but watching the highlights there, couldn’t help thinking 4-0 doesn’t happen if Haaland just has a normal day in front of goal.
He had 2 good chances early on but Spurs were good value. Grew into it after City had a good opening 10 and never looked back. Relying on one fella no matter how good he is doesn't feel sustainable especially when the next top Scorers are a deep lying midfielder and 2 defenders.
Don’t think it’s just in the legs with City either. I think their heads look gone. Not a bit of fight in their crowd either. Next two for us are MASSIVE.
Watched the game and it’s clear they need a holding midfielder, without Rodri or Kovacic they were too easy to play through. If they have anyone in that mould in the youth academy they need to give them an oppprtunity.
Can you think of another team who's system seems to have so spectacularly collapsed with the loss of one - admittedly brilliant - player? Or do you think it's more complicated than that? No Rodri and they seem like a totally different team.
But their xG seems okay. It's reminding me a bit of when Pool went 7 games without scoring in January a few years ago. But I'm equally happy they are conceding too. Maybe their owners will get bored and pull out...
