Actually, I’d prefer not to work but be able to do the important things all the time instead - friends, family, creativity. I suspect that if we weren’t all conditioned to think work is somehow noble a lot of people would admit the same.

but isn't much of what we call 'work' important? Like someone's got to be a doctor, a nurse, a trash collector, a plumber, an electrician, etc., etc., etc. Like you can't go to a restaurant with your friends and family if a whole bunch of other people aren't working.

I’m burnt the fuck out and no longer want to work. I keep seeing these Boston dynamics robots doing shit like hanging scaffolding and drywall and then look outside of my job trailer and wonder how long are we going to have to risk these men’s lives doing this dangerous job just to keep them busy?
