I've been a yogi most of my life. Puts me in an odd catagory...

I am non religious, but I understand the need of it in other people's lives. Atheists, are in the same boat as believers. It's still a belief system. Difference is, atheists question what they've been told. But are open to new ideas.

I'm a gnostic atheist. Not believing in things for which there is no evidence is not a belief system. There is no atheist ideology. There is no atheist canon, tenets, or scripture.

It sounds like you're mistaking anti-theists and Atheists. Anti-theists will firmly tell you there is no god and will use evidence to disprove the existence of one. Atheists simply don't believe there is one and haven't found compelling evidence to prove one does or does not exist.

Not true. Atheism is the default stance of humanity. Theists make a claim to believe in deity/deities and atheists say, Prove It.
This is the essence of it. Atheists believe in one less god than you and it is NOT A BELIEF SYSTEM

a bit off topic but i listen to ultra satanic black metal bands and anti-christian death metal bands like Deicide, Immolation , Vital Remains and God Dethroned. That's my direct influence . Also i spent 20 years in the jehovahs witness cult, age 4-24 .

I'm having that same experience. I very quickly gained 2/3 of the number of followers I had there, but almost never see their posts.

Also, the things the programmers implement are almost never something I care about. I mean, why can't we bookmark a post? That seems basic to me.

Weird priorities.
