We have had quite a bit of fun in culinary area this week. I do not like anything to go to waste, even more now with prices so high. I had a few bananas that were a bit overly ripe and I am not a baker. - ThreadSky

So.....I made my son banana pancakes, stacked them, spread peanut butter in between and poured just a bit of caramel syrup over it. I am happy, he approved.

My son loves peirogies so I spent a few moments, chose a recipe on-line and the two of us bonded in the kitchen as we made the dough and the potato/cheese filling.

It called for one potato, so of course I used two. 🙂 We still ran out of filling. The potato in the recipe must have been huge or I am more generous with the filling our peirogies than the recipe suggested.

Leaving me with about 8 peirogie sized pieces of dough leftover, I chose to introduce my son to fried bread. A biggie from my childhood that I remember my Mom making for us.
I chose to flavor his with a little cinnamon and the caramel syrup. He is a major bread eater and it was another winner. 🙂
