Great shows all. I noticed a theme of US deindustrialization and the need for reindustrialization. I would suggest interviewing Dr. Sal Mercogliano who runs a fantastic Youtube channel who can explain what happened to US shipbuilding and how to reinvigorate it. Cheers!

Regulation=Democrats?

The laws are passed, often bipartisan, and then the non-political bureaucracy fills it up with regulations.
In what way is that "the Democrats"?

Do Republicans write legislation that doesn't require regulatory enforcement?

I'm wondering about the USMCA, SECURE Act, their student loan plan from 2020. How did Republicans approach governing without regulations?

A few weeks ago Jon interviewed Ezra Klein who went over the bidding process for Biden's infrastructure bill. The application requirements are so byzantine and cumbersome, many states have dropped out of the process. It's almost like the Dems don't want to succeed.

If Republicans are writing bills that require states to submit hundreds or even thousands of pages of documents that are essentially roadblocks to dispursing funds, essentially having meetings to schedule the next meeting type shit, then it should be different.
