Some of America’s wealthiest business leaders might have lost even more money if they hadn’t offloaded millions of dollars’ worth of stock prior to President Trump’s tariff announcement in early April.

Oh, wouldn't it be sad if in one of Trump's roller coaster bipolar days all the billionaires just became millionaires? Maybe one of these days the old man will slip up and forget to tip off his buddies.
Using the principles of nonviolence and peaceful protest, there’s another NATIONWIDE PROTEST Day of Action planned for this coming THURSDAY, MAY 1st. Please PARTICIPATE to help STOP THE AUTHORITARIAN TAKEOVER!

Now this is a case where the ❤️ is needed, because I love the fact that those who won’t pay their workers enough of a salary to live on without working two jobs deserve to lose as much money as possible.
"managed to sell before" lol. you fucking cowards. everyone with a working brain knows what is happening and sees Trump's manipulation of the stock market...but hey, the media would let him stand in the middle of fifth avenue, rape and murder a child and somehow call what he did a "mercy".
Apropos of nothing at all I remember an interview with someone wearing a MAGA hat in the 2016 Presidential campaign saying “stop importing those foreign cars, we don’t want Tesla’s in America”.
That's the point. Trump tipped off the billionaires who supported him (to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars), while leaving regular folks without any info as their 401ks circle the drain.
Billions, actually. Trump is caught on video looking to the literal Charles Schwab and laughing that he made "2.2 billion today" after his first market manipulation.
I read it again and I think we are talking about the same thing? After Trump reversed his tariff policy (again) leading to an upswing in the market, Trump said "He made $2.5 billion today (referring to Charles Schwab) and he made $900 million — that’s not bad." Wasn't this the reference?
"We stand by this POTUS hand and hand, which is why I am unloading millions in stocks ahead of tomorrow's surprise announcement that makes the information I have public knowledge for everyone else."
They just listened to what he was saying. I sold all my stock on March 3rd because on March 4th it’d be 30 days since he delayed the auto tariffs for 30 days. Not rocket science or insider trading (this time. The flip flop a few days later probably was.)
Some of America’s wealthiest business leaders illegally participated in insider trading by offloading millions of dollars’ worth of stock prior to President Trump’s tariff announcement in early April.
My problem with this is that it was clear even to me, an average older lady with no expertise, that my stocks were going in the toilet when Trump got in. I sold almost everything I could at the top of the market. Insider trading? Nope. Just smarter than a box of rocks
That’s definitely insider trading (the reversal and unreversal a few days in), but the article is just saying “rich people dropped their stock after trump was inaugurated, in time to avoid the tariff disaster.” Which is what a lot of regular folks (including me) did.
Contrary to the replies here this isn’t insider trading it’s just called “not being a dumbass” and getting out of the way of the coming storm. I took all my money out of stocks two weeks before the tariff announcement too.
I did the same thing. No inside information required, just common sense. Of course courage to speak common sense and decency is in inverse proportion to how much money you have these days.
The news diarrhea is getting worse. The BEST remedy - replace those TERRIBLE politicians with the most AMAZING cats. Install http://FurrTruth.com Chrome Extension.
These are Trump's big poltical contributors who got an early warning in one fashion or another by those around Trump, and likely himself, too. We have a record of inside trading, and this is not different, especially from a known grifter and con artist. All part of his quid pro quo game.
