And a lot of people can’t afford cars, and a LOT of cars bought that sit in home garages every night that should be EV daily drivers
Or like here in Mpls, at least now have some Level 2 chargers going in dense rental areas as well. And employers have chargers installed to charge at work, etc.
And the wider adaption by those w homes and garages, the wider addition to public chargers everywhere, new/updated rental places installing chargers, etc
I’m old enough to vaguely remember (wasn’t old enough to drive) gas shortages during the 1970s. Google reminds me the “Yom Kippur War” and the Iranian revolution were the causes. Guess what countries were involved.
Just filled up the 4runner in the Yukon. Of course, mostly because my community is under an evacuation alert due to an out of control wildfire 17 kilometres from town. Saved from the surge in gas prices, not at all from the cost of a heating planet. Go me!
The GOP, the fossil fuel party, starts wars in the Middle East oil regions with regularity, thereby keeping the prices up, up, up. Must be just an unhappy coincidence.
We are now experiencing a double penetration.
“But don’t say the dirty word that starts with a E” when raising those Bigly Beautiful flag poles at the White House.
Rich getting richer, poor getting beat up, kidnapped, price gouged to death..deficit out of control, military/national guard used against its own citizens: Congress not doing their job of oversight, masters of the purse...where are Schumer/Jeffries/Pelosi, time to impeach the democrat leaders
Hey @cnn.com why dont u remind people that what we just witnessed WAS LITERALLY IRAQ WORD FOR WORD and wait U FAILED to find WEAPONS and u invaded the country for US WEALTH AND CONTROL not actual threats
The US imports around 5% of it's oil via the Straight of Hormuz, China imports around 50% of theirs from there. China is pretty much the only thing keeping Iran financially solvent. Iran will do nothing of consequence.
When gas hits $10/gallon, maybe the dopey Magatts will rethink their support of the big orange crook. That’s when the 10 min drive to Walmart becomes too costly to buy their weeks supply of Ramen noodles & SlimJims and Spam. No offense to Ramen noodles, SlimJims and Spam all of which I’ve enjoyed.
