I hope this is a sign of what will happen in the House & Senate race mid terms. Trump & his cronies will try and interfere so that is a given but hopefully Dems & Independents will give Republicans the finger. No hope for about 40% of Republicans since they drank the kool aide. Brains are jello.

Lancaster is increasingly tied to the Philly area, which i think will make stuff like this happen more , but also, it has a lot of genteel WASPy types, who are absolutely legacy GOP, but if TV has taught me nothing else, it's that WASPs hate attention seeking and crassness... so you know, MAGA!

I think the combo of genteel WASPs and Amish is why it's had such a GOP iron grip, even during the New Deal, when even the surrounding (conservative) areas went slightly Dem. But its' combo of Amish and Old Money seems ill suited to a political movement lead by a crass, celebrity scam artist.

I don’t know turnout, but the number of votes cast reached 60% of the regularly scheduled 2022 election. The Republican ran unopposed then.

I’ve seen turnout at like 29%, but I have no idea if that’s right.
