At six you probably didn’t understand exactly what happened when the towers were hit. It’s ok that you were selfish. You were celebrating and it interrupted your big day. As long as you learned from it I think it’s alright.

I did think this was kinda funny in hindsight. I aint mad at myself but it’s just funny how a point can be missed or the anger can be misdirected lol. I hated my birthday for years not solely due to that but I had like a string of bad incidents happen in consecutive years

I understand the pain of feeling selfish but for a kid to be in remission & wanna celebrate a birthday is incredibly human, its understandable that you're day being overshadowed by misery would make someone angry or upset if not feel overlooked themselves
