We have big aviation, space and technology here in Washington, when the workforce ran dry for qualified employees those corps partnered with the state to provide funding for targeted education. STEM, mechanical, industrial manufacturing. All available at our community colleges at reduced/no cost.

Agree. The application is easy, but fin aid at the school level is incredibly stressful. There's always an issue. Students are jumping through hoops every Q. The out of pocket fees are ridiculous. 3rd party vendors overcharge/under perform. Many opportunities to reduce costs while improving.

TRIO! He 100% needs to use TRIO. It's for students who will be the first in their immediate family to graduate college. He will be assigned a TRIO advisor who will help him every step of the way. They are amazing advocates. Check with the school to see if he needs to register first..
