I think being friendly can only help remind them of the reason they are Marines and offset some of the bravado they are seeing & hearing from the ICE thugs. Marines are more disciplined than the thugs but my guess is they are young and could get caught up in wrong attitudes.

It's not the grunt's fault, it's their chain of command which is completely corrupt from the top down. They're trained to follow orders and I have no confidence considering who is in charge that they won't be given illegal orders.

They're not. I had a son that wanted to be a Marine. He's not that guy but I humored him. He got a 98 of the ASVAB. In talking to the recruiters, the average score now is in the low 30's.

I read they detained one guy. The key now is to keep it peaceful and not give the Marines any reason to use their weapons. If they see masses of people protesting peacefully you can bring them over to your side. ICE is full of Jan 6 assholes but I don’t believe soldiers want to fire on US Citizens.

But the Marines are the very worst unit you could possibly put on the streets. They're trained in one thing, to kill in the most efficient manner, that's it. They are our attack dogs. These idiots got 20 hours of civilian control training.
