Because SCOTUS is hopelessly corrupt, it is acquiescing to Trump’s subordination of the judicial and legislative branches to his Fascist rule. Alito and Thomas lead the corruption that has destroyed the reputation of SCOTUS. They are obviously unfit to sit on the bench of any court in the world.

I said it when the big law firms first caved: nobody wants to hire a wimp lawyer who will not fight, I certainly would not. Yes, you will see more partners leaving, and taking their customers with them. It makes perfect sense.

Except, Dunn, one of the partners leaving supported the firm’s deal with Trump & convinced other partners to support it.They’re not leaving because they disagree with the deal. Maybe they don’t like the consequences or are distancing themselves from what now seems like a bad decision.

Honestly, as much as I wish everyone had spines to begin with, I do think that courage is contagious. Once a few institutions have shown it's possible to fight back, they've tested the waters for others to do it. If folks (belatedly) decide to stand up and not cut deals, better than never.
