Internet Edgords in 2024: “or did they? Let’s see how Pearl Harbor was actually done by the lizard people and Kamala Harris with Obama’s Time Machine! This all on the next Rogan, with guests Elon Musk and Aaron Rodger’s”
The first waves of Japanese planes flew over a mobile radar station on the North Shore of Oahu from their task force NW of the island. Other flights were making their way to Pearl Harbor. The Japanese failed to bomb the subpens, the oil reserves, and the carriers were out. #pearlharbor #ww2
Have we learned nothing?? The people that should know better allowed laws & regulations we had to prevent tyranny to be loosened. For yrs I have been trying to tell congress to stop this; fell on deaf ears as far as i’m concerned. I am Apoplectic w anger
I recall hearing a recording of the Dinah Shore radio program delivered that evening. She was sending out best wishes to our troops in the Pacific, hoping they were safe, echoing the hopes of Americans.
And yet, those troops were on islands that had already fallen. Bittersweet and sad.
My Dad, an Army officer when this happened, was on a ship to Europe two months later. He was away for 3.5 years. My brother was three before my Dad set eyes on him.
83 years ago today, fascist and imperialistic forces attacked the United States, and pulled us into a war that they ultimately and utterly lost. On this Pearl Harbor Day, I want our country to recommit to fighting the fascist ideas that will bring death and destruction to us all.
“Hey, John, what’s this all about? What’s this a tour of?” Trump asks...John F. Kelly, as the men prepare to take a private tour of the USS Arizona Memorial...
Trump had heard the phrase ‘Pearl Harbor’...appeared to understand...scene of a historic battle, but...not...much else”...
My uncle Mike was stationed at Red Hill Army base on the day of the attack. Wasn't much they could do but watch. His family didn't get a letter from him saying he was ok until about two weeks later and it was partially censored.
It always seems weird to hear people say "happy pearl harbor day". Today is a day of remembrance for a tragic event. How is a better way to say it? It's not "happy". "Remembering Pearl Harbor today" maybe? How would you say it. (it's probably more commonly spoken in Hawaii than on the mainland)
Absolutely! They knew that we were testing nuclear weapons and that we had the capability of using them. You are trying to rewrite history. How many Americans dying would it take for you to do something about it? Do you think we should have gone to war and invaded Japan?
You can pretend that’s a fact. It isn’t. The threat of nuclear weapons may have been enough to bring them to a surrender. There was surely another war.
Kids aren't learning history anymore I guess. Or their teachers are allowing (giving?) a modern spin? I don't know but yes, so many more would have died if the bomb hadn't been used.

But sure, your imaginary alternative is quite convincing.
