I find this series of 3 French movies particularly funny, unfortunately I don't think there were ever dubbed so my second choice would be "The World'End" with Simon Pegg π½
See Safety Last! in a packed theater. Slow build, but by the end youβll be hard-pressed not to be rolling in the aisles. (Might be able to approximate this by arranging a screening with friends.)
Idiocracy;
without a doubt!
I have watched that movie so many times and I laughed my butt off .
If you want dark comedy, then I would watch the movie the last supper youβll laugh your butt off, but youβll also be kind of ashamed that you laugh lol
Me, Myself & Irene. I loved it but I only watched it once because I didnβt want to watch it a second time & be disappointed if I didnβt like it as much as the first time! π€£
Almost anything by @officialmelbrooks.bsky.social - Young Frankenstein is a personal favorite!
Or maybe #Airplane or #Clue - for slapstick silliness :)
Basically anything from Handmade Films (the Monty Python guys).
But also 'What's Up Doc?', because yes, it's funny & *insane*, with some deadpan acting that slays--but it builds until there is an awesome car chase that *never* fails to leave me laughing so hard I'm crying (the trash cans!). π
This would be my recommendation too. Itβs hilarious and I have watched it at least a half a dozen times. All the characters are really funny and I couldnβt choose just one as my favourite.
