It's so wild that Xitter won't let them add evidence to any post that has a percent sign in it. It's the strangest bug. I bet they wish Xitter would fix that for them.
Is that federal government or all government? Like, I'm a state employee and people like these jobs because, historically anyways, these jobs are safe and give a sense of purpose, even if it's just the mundane ones.
The amount of willful ignorance contained in these tweets...more like black women demonstrate a disproportionate level of public service ethos in their choice of careers: always choosing to still help make the society that has consistently shat on them a better place for all.
When my mother was in college in the 60s, the options were basically nursing or teaching - overwhelmingly government jobs. 65% is an improvement in those days.
is it possible there is less discrimination in public employment than in private companies run by people like ... (gestures wildly toward Trump administration appointees)
the shirley sherrod piece.
probably biden's worst cabinet move was bringing vilsack back. especially considering obama never should have has him back in 2nd term.
Weird data point: after Batson, St.Louis prosecutors started using government employment, specifically USPS employment, as a supposedly race neutral reason for striking jurors. There are >20 cases where MO courts have accepted that rationale wrt postal workers.
There are about 300,000 black women in the federal civilian workforce (with or without a degree), and about 6 million working-age black women have college degrees.
Federal employment among college-educated black women can’t be more than 5%.
Yeah I know but if you wanted to be manipulative you could get to a higher number if you include stuff like teachers, fire department, postal service etc. All of which are not jobs that people would see and say “buerocrat”. And of course the buerocrat framing is bs from the start just so we’re clear
We should be paying for their education. Everyone should have access to higher learning if they desire. Nobody should be held back because they can't afford it.
I will never understand why higher education should be a private, mostly loan funded enterprise starting at 18yrs when it benefits all of the population in multiple ways other than the degree itself. Promoting social mobility, diverse ideas, talents, breaking racial barriers, reducing prejudices.
The only thing trusting Grok for these numbers proves is that he wanted to believe this so badly that he ignored every rational impulse he has in order to get there.
He wants to call black women parasites. That is all.
Been that way for 100 years now. For many of them it's the deepest betrayal of the New Deal that the government employs racial others (and for more than a few dollars a day too)
An actual statistic you can throw at them is that 30% of government employees are veterans; they hate veterans too, but they have to pretend they don’t
I remember when government jobs were the jobs that you wanted because corporations were greedy and evil and didn't have the best benefits or the best retirement plans. Government jobs were guaranteed and safe. And we sold that idea to everyone looking for stability.
Similarly, saw an interview with Tim Burchett about Ukraine funding yesterday and he was talking about the bankers making money doing business with both sides and I'm guessing he meant (((bankers))).
I mean it is true that there ARE capitalist shitheads out there trying to benefit from both sides of the conflict, but the people who are doing so are more likely to be Trump's cohort than anyone else.
61% of the federal government workforce identifies as being white, and 18% identifies as being Black.
At the top of that workforce is certainly a shiftless and lazy manchild that doesn't work and only wants to play ⛳️ golf.
Not that this is the important part, but I but I bet not even 65% of the college educated black women living in Fairfax County work for the federal government. It’s a laughable claim, just ludicrous. Of course he got it from Grok.
It didn't say *federal* government though (the AI answer, I mean). "Shoe" did that...incorrectly.
It seems to me that if that # (50-65%) is even remotely accurate, there is probably a huge portion of that that are public school teachers? (And to call that a "worthless government job" is ridiculous.
Fine do away with all fed jobs, all of them(now here me out on this) when Joe down the street needs that social security he’s paid into for his entire life and no one is there to answer his questions, whelp, black women was taking them jobs. Oh Florida had a hurricane needs money, sorry, can’t help
Something something the black women had those jobs and yall didn’t like that. Oh them planes are crashing, yeah no that’s a white male dominated field so you’re not blaming black women there motherfuvkers.
They’ll blame them anyway. I’m always on the aviation channels in YouTube, and EVERY COMMENT SECTION is polluted with limp dicks screaming “DEI DEI DEI DEI!!!!”

I know there are a hell of a lot more working-age black women. We need to get that number up.
Of course social mobility, diverse ideas, talents, breaking racial barriers, and reducing prejudices are anathema to a large swath of America.
