I'm convinced Mark Carney reminded Donald that Canada holds a not insignificant amount of US Bonds on his first call with the Petulant President. Donald started acting real respectful after that call, actually referring to him as Prime Minister (as opposed to 'Governor of the 51st state')
Amazing what kind of power you can accrue when you spend a few decades growing your economy rather than pissing it away on obscene military expenditures.
The 🍊💩 blew most of the leverage the US had with his shortsighted tariff war & threatening language to Canada, Greenland, Panama, Ukraine, & more. He’s pissed off the world, our allies no longer trust us, & our trading partners are working hard to find other suppliers & buyers.
This nation is on its way to being basically a 3rd world country with large areas of desperate poverty. The people will be told it’s normal, and with no way to see how the rest of the planet lives, while bring continually fed right wing media lies and bigotry, they will believe it.
Japan ' Donald here is the trade deal we have written for you , sign it please , oh by the way nice economy you have here would be a pity of anything were to happen to it '
It's so frustrating to find myself hoping that other countries will teach the USA the reality of interdependence and the importance of mutually respectfully intersubjective agreements to share power and promote humanity.
I mean, the US owes a whole lot of countries a whole lot of money. The countries were okay with that because USA's credit was as good as gold. Now things aren't feeling so golden... I don't think Mango considered this.
Mango's entire life arc is defined by bankrupting whatever he's in charge of, cramming his pockets, and walking away when it hits the fan. From his point of view, everything is right on track.
