Fine. That means that someone who owns a pair of wool socks is morally equal to someone who runs over cats for fun. Doing less of a bad thing over time until we reach the goal is worthless, so we might as well change nothing unless we arrive at the goal immediately. This is logical, but unworkable.
We should be honest about the goal and admit that doing a bad thing is bad. Also I have socks that have some wool in them, they were a gift and I didn't realize until I had worn em because they didn't have a tag. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong wearing em
Then we agree that this is not an all-or-nothing issue. Someone can be not entirely vegan without being against veganism; someone can own a pair of wool socks and not be anti-vegan.
