I struggle with my support for Pete for POTUS in 2028. On one hand, he's young, brilliant, and articulate as hell. On the other, I'm not sure running a gay man after getting our asses beat in 2024 is a prudent move. I lean more toward a Beshears/Buttigieg ticket in '28, then all in for Pete in '36.

Same, but I don’t think this country will elect a gay man. Pains me to say that but we have to be realistic. If we don’t win, we have nothing. I would like to see him head up Homeland or Intelligence because it’s going to need huge repairs and I trust him to do the right thing.

As someone who was highly skeptical of Mayor Pete 20, he's my current favorite for 28. Polished? You bet. Past corporate immersion? Abosolutely. He was mayor of a small city. His husband is a teacher. The only thing "elite" about Pete is his education, which he earned by being much smarter than almost everyone. Also, I live in the rural and appreciate his improvement of broadband, for starters.
