Well, this effectively kills the affiliate news organizations. Most have already furloughed or laid off most of their staff. VOA staff remains on paid admin leave.

Lamberth clearly noted in his order the admin's tactic was to delay. Now the DC circuit just gave them the de facto win.

They may ultimately prevail, but the organizations will be functionally hollowed out by the time Lake et. al. are ever forced to actually disperse the funds. Most of the staff can't go on for months w/o pay and will have moved on.

The funding is what should also be protected as he can’t defund agencies. God, republicans are screwed if an eager young democrat takes the presidency. So many policies will be forced on the American people, which will be so well loved that the rich will be taxed into oblivion.
