Agreed. She could have sent a strong message. But the Democratic party relies on AIPAC money. And still do. The better of two sides is not the good side. It's the less evil but still ok sending arms and money for genocide.
I understand what you’re saying but they had/have genocide that was not of Harris’s making. There is more than enough blame to go around. But there is no way any thinking person could expect that Trump, with his relationship to BiBi, was going to do anything but make things worse.
Harris was the sitting vice president. If she didn’t like the policy of arming a genocide, she could have used the office of the vice presidency to stop the genocide.
Failing that, Harris could have used her candidacy for the presidency to say ‘no more Biden bombs’.
Harris, as VP, did not and could not set policy regarding Israel. She was VP. Be serious. Also, to set policy, you need to get elected. Gaza, while tragic and criminal, was not an across the board issue. Jobs, healthcare, inflation, immigration are more central, electability issues.
I’m going to try one more time, Vice Presidents do not set policy. They just don’t. Gaza could cost Harris the election but it couldn’t win it for her. The Israeli supporting voters far outnumbered the Palestinian supporters. It’s not right, it’s not good. But that’s how it is.

The blame lies squarely on the Democrats, whose own polling told them they’d lose backing for genocide.
Best to accept the ‘soft’ version of anything Trump demands, or you’ll get the ‘hard’ version. Stop resisting.

Dems’ own polling showed they’d lose backing the genocide. And they did.
