Not only is borrowing books from the library something you can do, it's something you *should* do. Supporting libraries is good for authors *and* it's good for libraries. Go get a card, walk inside, take out some books, read the books, books are great, libraries are great, life is amazing.

An author hopped into the replies of someone who posted about borrowing their book from a library and enjoying it. Never seen a ratio like this. Libraries rule, get wrecked.

Your local library probably has dozens of weekly programs, from Teen D&D to Chair Yoga to cultural events.
And for free.
Support your local library - even if only by taking advantage of what it offers.
2) I have limited funds & shelf space. I use my library to find new authors. If I love it, I'll probably buy a copy. More books sold!
I love how the libraries are lending ebooks now... my eyesight is getting bad enough that even WITH trifocals I have a hard time reading the small print on a paperback. With ebooks I can make it bigger.
Heck you can even checkout video games

Libraries are more plural than Bookstores and both are GREAT
Reading SELL books and not pushy advertisement. :)
But, YES, books are great!
Libraries are great!
Support local libraries!!
not using the library just encourages politicians to get rid of libraries
But libraries are great, agreed.
No dude, you made a bad take, people called you on it. Suck it up and move on.
Now I need to read “Wayward” - but can’t until I finish the SIX other books I have out from the library 😊
And not for the reasons they were usually scary
You know the one
You know what would completely turn me off of buying a book, in that situation? The author coming into my replies and telling me not to borrow their book from a library.
Kanopy (streaming service), Libby (ebook service), https://Libro.fm (audiobooks), and Mango (Language learning app) are all services I have for free 'cause of my library card.
