It's almost like the first thing the police have to do in these situations is give information about the race of the perpetrator in order to fend off speculation, rather than offer condolences or support to the victims. I fucking hate this country sometimes.

Horrific as the event of last night was, there was a part of me that was relieved that it wasn’t a Muslim or foreigner, or a British person of colour. Our press and politicians like Farage would have used it shameless to stoke division and hatred endlessly.
