The point is, the lack of such teamwork within England especially - the extreme centralisation in Westminster - means that even pro-EU British tend to be Eurosceptic.
With centralisation, there can be only one centre - hence the psychodrama.
With better domestic political control, people will mind less about ceding some control to the EU collective.
Much less so in Germany/Spain where they have better regional control.
It's so on Brexit brand that we are exactly that now & will be unless we rejoin
British folk tend to mis-appreciate this because they have such bad domestic control, especially the English.
Understanding this should lead us to the correct strategy for moving back to the EU.
Fixing the lack of political control. Not ignoring it.
