I like many of the things Ruben Amorim says, but this is disproportionate and simply unnecessary in terms of trying to break a player down and having what should be a personal conversation in the press. A top of the shelf attacking player VS terrible game plans, bad results and quest. team selection

This team can't score, don't look like scoring. Rashford is United's 15th all time highest goal scorer and still has more premier league g/a this season than Hojlund, Zirkzee or Garnacho despite not playing for weeks. He's highly paid and not injured. Of course the press should be asking wtf he is.

Hojlund and Zirkzee don’t get any service. The only one capable of any great service is Bruno but he either tries Hollywood balls that rarely work or sprays passes to the wingers who never service the striker effectively. Rashford apparently doesn’t train hard which is a nail in the coffin for him

He would have to play striker or wingback for Amorim. His recent years at striker have been dreadful but it wouldn’t matter because United strikers haven’t gotten service in years. God knows what he’d look like at wingback when he’d have to actually track back and put in a shift every match.

Anyone who watches United knows there's been a problem with Rashford since the start of 23/24. Amorim has every right to address that. But to go for the player in such an unpleasant way, nah it's not good, particularly when his team is such a dull watch. God knows how it helps us sell him on either.

This is probably the first time since the Mourinho days that any United manager had the guts to say how he really felt about players. Many of those players have sacked three managers. These players know exactly what they are doing. They down tools and get people sacked to save their jobs.

I see it more as Amorim hitting back at Rashford’s entourage and trying to kill of the sphere of influence he has with his clique inside the dressing room. Let’s be honest and understand that most of the leaks are coming from that circle. If Rashford wasn’t a Manc he’d been gone years ago.

What clique? Everyone he seemed close to has gone - Martial, Sancho, AWB, Mctominey etc. Amorim should be playing him off the bench and getting what he can out of him while all parties work to move him on. It's not as if the team's better without him. This public ostracising benefits nobody.

He’s had a few good seasons. He’s clearly not worth 325k weekly wage. And now he’s pulling his usual PR BS now it’s clear no one’s coming in for him, despite basically green lighting it with that interview. I say good on Amorin for calling a spade a spade.

Agree, Rashfords had plenty of chances at United, and clearly not interested in changing his attitude.
Amorim sticking to his guns and not giving in is a great sign. Can you imagine rashfords behaviour under Ferguson? He would be gone by the end of the week

These are decent numbers for a winger at a badly run club. Only 23/24 was actually bad, other dips were mainly injuries etc. Of course he's not worth £325k a week but that's on the club. He'll get his move this week and he'll do well, just like Mctominey has.
