I assume that it will stay that way for some time to gauge interest in the system, then they'll eventually let you purchase it independently. It'll probably also be another perk for Nitro purchases.
They could easily prove me wrong though, and I'd love to be. Discord is too important to go downhill.

I honestly dont think so, i think this is just so Discord can get more of that sweet sweet ad money from quests, i do think that possibly it could be a Nitro perk for some more orbs but i dont think they'll sell them on their own

That will never work with quests. They simply aren't interesting enough, and way too difficult to engage with. Even with a better reward the system has a million failings.
