Because most of the Dem caucus is complicit in all this but a few of the safe seat guys are falling on the sword for the others

Yeah, he's not the guy for the moment. It's one thing to not want to hurt Americans, it's another actively work against your colleagues. I think it time for Schumer to pack it in.
