Tbf, these are impossible to get outside of limited time events and genning.

Once they stop doing events for SV, they'll be unobtainable unless you dedicate a save to preserving the event.

Pokémon GO exist. One day they will be available there, then you can transfer them into the main games.

Not to mention that future mainline games will probably allow you to catch them (ie: raid den adventures in the Crown Tundra, catching various legendaries in the Blueberry dlc, etc.)

Then they'd both be fully version exclusive. It's typical for the box legendary to stay version exclusive, but the DLC paradoxes are locked behind $90 without trading.

On the other hand, it sucks that they're time limited and will eventually be unobtainable entirely.

My theory is right before Gen 10 comes out, the final updated "event" includes them and every 7 star raid boss permanently into the game.

Similar to how they permanently added in Gigantamax Pokémon in raid rosters on Sword and Shield

Catch yourself a break. Speedrun Scarlet until you pass the convo with Nemona and Arven telling you where to start, then catch some random rube. Use HOME to transfer your starter to Violet, power level it, and speedrun the game. Pokémon with your OT always obey you as long as the caught level is low

You should be able to catch both if you haven’t already caught them, even if raid for one only show up in the other game, you can still join them online and catch it.

Although, I suppose I only need 2 Iron Leaves if I have can catch a Walking Wake via Raids.

Don't have any other worthy enough Pokemon to trade them for, and you can't trade mythicals

Walking Wake will be available in online raids so you won't need to trade for one. And do you have a means of catching multiple Iron Leaves? You can only catch one on a save file.

You just need to connect to online during the window, or you can "check the poké portal news" in the mystery gift menu to achieve the same effect. They show up as those event raids with the white outline.

Walking wake will only be directly available in scarlet, but both of them are in online raids.
