This really, truly is the major issue with Mario & Luigi (and modern Pokemon). Why Nintendo’s most kid-coded games have the most text (and no voice acting) is such a puzzle. Having to read my way through Pokemon Scarlet so my kids could understand what was going on was a nightmare.

i think most of these games could explain themselves through play and level design instead of giving you eight paragraphs per activity
