The reality of this makes me anxious because the long conservative dream of proving government useless at improving lives but using its force to bind those they don't like may be fulfilled without people understanding who really did this.

The craziest thing is tariffs are arguably the one issue he actually is primarily directing. He’s farmed immigration out to Miller, governance to Elon and god only knows to fopo but Trump is explicitly putting everything tariff related in his name. The self-delusion of these people is astounding.
