I disagree that Gaitok's ending was satisfying. So he got the girl--but he had to abandon his entire belief system. In order to get Mook, he had to commit violence.

I was so angry. I'll neurodivergent. Those friendships make zero sense to me. What do you mean you have a religious friend who voted Trump and you didn't know she was like that??
Yeah, like: how are you lifelong friends who know each other so deeply, but that's the first time it comes up? To your POV about how it's a no win show, I took Laurie's decision to continue on with the friendships as a sign of defeat or an unhappy ending.
Me too. She saw the real sides of both Jaclyn and Kate--and realized this was her best shot at friendship. Those women aren't friends. They loathe each other. Feel sorry for one another. It's more pity than love.
