Secretary Collins continues to suppress & deny Congress & veterans key info around his careless cuts & workforce firings—including plans to cut 83,000 VA employees. We need the full Senate to be allowed to vote & debate on political nominees—not rubber stamp them without question.

What is happening in our country is NOT NORMAL! Democrats need to stop acting like it’s business as usual!
The “big, beautiful” tax bill isn’t just policy—it’s a weapon. Slashing revenue while boosting corporate gains means gutting safety nets. When Medicaid shrinks, people don’t just lose coverage. They die. ∆Revenue ≠ harmless. It’s bloodless in text, bloody in effect.
Every $1B cut from Medicaid leads to ~1,800 excess deaths per year (Urban Inst.). MAGA’s tax plan cuts trillions. That’s math, not rhetoric. When billionaires gain, the poor lose access to insulin, dialysis, prenatal care. These aren’t abstractions—they’re funerals.
The bill expands tax cuts for the top 0.1% while letting ACA subsidies expire. The result: a net transfer from the sick to the ultra-rich. It’s redistribution—but upside down. Austerity for the many, abundance for the few. In $: 🏥➖, 🏦➕
Why does this kill? Because health is income-sensitive. A 10% ↓ in income = 1.2% ↑ in mortality (Chetty et al.). Strip EITC, SNAP, housing aid, and you don’t just make people poor—you shorten their lives. Poverty is a pre-existing condition.
Under this bill, a hedge fund manager could get a yacht tax break while a child with leukemia loses CHIP coverage. That’s not reform. That’s a death sentence in legislative form—written in fine print, signed in indifference.

Budget math is moral math. Every $ added to deficit by tax cuts ($3T over 10 yrs per CBO) is used to justify “entitlement reform.” Translation: cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. You can trace the line: 💰 in → 💀 out.
GOP would love folks to fight Dems instead
we can all agree
those with too much should help
and those with less can be helped
