Absolutely agree that Roberts is the villain of our times, but I think you’re too easy on him, suggesting that he believed in any sense that America was post-racial. As you point out, his life’s work was to eviscerate the VRA, and he took that task with relish and didn’t stop til he accomplished it.

Roberts has presented himself over the years as one who wished to preserve the court's integrity & his legacy. What a sham on many fronts, voting rights being one at the forefront. The final act of destruction to "his" court is giving the presidential/executive office immun., for additional abuses.
