He's also never been the prototypical ace, even as he's been on the periphery of that group for a long, long time. It's always made fans worry about him but even this round of ineffectiveness could be an exception to his own exceptional profile.

His adjustments have always been about simplicity more than a drastic overhaul. That's also the kind of thing that's hard to spot and know to implement. How he is once he comes off the IL is going to be fascinating
