And many trans-femme find "dude" offensive.
Hence why I said the two words were equal in their level of gender neutrality. Not that they were entirely neutral.

personally, i think gender specific terms should not be used at all because of that, but people are unfortunately programmed to automatically address people with pronouns and gender specific terminology.
