Annette falls asleep in the Fraldarius library a few nights a week for the first six months after moving in. Felix would be annoyed if it wasn’t so cute
"Did you do the Reason homework?" Annette asked. "I can't solve the problem 5."
"I didn't try," Sylvain said. "Ask Human Felix."
"I told you not to call me -" Felix began, cutting off when Annette turned to him, eyes enormous. "Which problem?" he asked.

They start dating almost right away but Annette refuses to let him stay over at her apartment for ages because she’s too embarrassed to tell him what the cat’s name is.

"Lying. To my face. After you took vows," Felix said.
"You're being melodramatic. I'm almost done!" Annette said.

"It's about leverage, not weight," Felix said sagely. "Kid's got good form."
Annette glared at him. So did Lorenz.

He stops, scowling. "You said you wanted me to duel for your hand."
"I said I wanted you to ASK for my hand."
Felix scowls harder. "It's tradition. Faerghus tradition."
Annette waits patiently. Eventually, he hands her his sword.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Felix asked.
"Like what?" Mercedes asked sweetly.
"Like this," Felix said. He rearranged his expression into a frankly horrible rictus. "Like you know something."
Mercedes beamed. "It's just so sweet to see you plan this for Annie!"
