Once we stop thinking that GOP has ever or will ever act in good faith the better off we’ll be. They are worthless and will always be. Its past time to be outraged and time to be fucking ruthless to regain power.
I could see coming to agreement with someone who has no morals. Mutual benefit can be a powerful motivator then. But they don't have 'no morals'. Their moral compass points them towards causing others, strangers they dont know and who would never hurt them, as much pain as possible. They're immoral.
We are beyond that now. The 2 party system has failed. It was good in an 18th century democracy, but not the 21st. And the reps have no intention of sharing governing. I'm 75. Seen this coming for 40 yrs. Hoped it wouldn't. But here we are. Old song says....which side are you on, boy which side

While that would obviously be the best idea for the country, the current climate within the GOP does not allow any cooperation with the 'radical left', as anything the GOP doesn't like nowadays is ridiculed.

It's not even so much a difference in politics, though there is that, but of morality. Hell. No. There is no uniting with that. No fascists, no Nazis, no kings.
The trouble with this mindset is that you're stepping into the crosswalk as a car races towards you and the kids. You expect it to stop. But the driver doesn't care, plows through you all and keeps going, because you don't matter. That's the Republican philosophy now. Happy thoughts won't save us.

I had family members who understood they were voting for someone that wanted to cause harm to their grandkids, to their sibling but they did it anyway because of the cost of eggs and gas. They can get lost is the nicest thing I can say.
Yes. You were told what he was going to do, and who he was going to do it to. As long as it was someone else, you didn't give a damn. For four years he lied like hell, and you CHOSE to ignore that. He stiffed all his contractors and laborers, and you thought THIS would be different? More fool you.
