Republican donors love term limits! They don't want their MoCs/Senators to learn enough to become independent of their staffs, who are loyal to the GOP or its donors & not their nominal bosses.
This is why GOP MoCs don't switch parties.
This is also why "vote the person, not the party" is foolish.
Nope. I see it across multiple industries and institutions. We have a generation that refuses to retire and wants to die working. That removes power from younger generations. It doesn't help that we've built up a work culture that has people tying self worth to their job. Old people should retire.
It's human nature. You're using a swathe of the people as a single minded monolith. They have this space time in common and that predicates much of what you see. Look at older people as elders, not as a convenient scapegoat for everybody else's shortcomings.
And governance rules do need to change.
Most people I know would fucking love to retire, but don’t have money to. I agree that too many people tie their worth to their job/profession.
And not everything/everyone in politics should be ‘life-long.’
You know for a fact that the living Democratic Congresspeople over 70 have significant health concerns? prove it Also, why aren't you probing the health of the elderly Republicans?
There are fewer elderly Republicans in office, because more of them were either voted out or quit. "The last eight members of Congress to have died in office were Democrats." It's primarily a Democratic problem, and that's bad for Democrats.

Where were you when Senator Sanders had his heart attack?
Oh and Bernie and his petulant little bros can go fuck themselves!
Real compromise is a two-way street. But centrists only think it’s “do everything we want.”
