Had any of these three Democrats, who all are from safe Democratic districts, taken their health into consideration and decided not to run in 2024, such an egregious bill would have failed to pass. https://trib.al/DuZ8YZm

I'm angry and tired of ALL the old fossils who continue to hog seats in Congress and the voters who keep stupidly voting for them. It's time to let in those with fresh ideas who are more aware of what is going on and not bought out yet. Term limits for Congress and the Supreme Court.
The R’s wouldn’t have had their foolish fake posturing, but the point remains: we need to demand Dems prioritize succession planning. Build a deep Dem bench in your district, help them win state level office, mentor them and then help a worthy candidate win your seat & repeat
This is leadership 101.
You know that one or more of the Rs who abstained would have suddenly come back to vote for it. Quit blaming democrats for this egregious bill. Yes, age is an issue in general, but not this.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda… if 3 Rs voted who did not… If Harris won the election… If Bernie won South Carolina… if Americans were better educated… this egregious bill would not have been. Get rid of old people running the party and billionaire donors and fix campaign finance
If “ifs and buts were candies and nuts we’d all have a Merry Christmas.” The aholes would have just manipulated another power play for their fearless leader.
Democrats are quick to attack other for party over country but If they really wanted to win they should unite for a clear mission to save the country with a wider tent (Incl former GOP anti MAGA ) and younger people and stop purity tests craziness and focus on fringe issues.
I am so tired of always blaming democrats instead of the republicans. There are a few republicans who know better and vote with Trump anyway. There are also republicans who are older than 55.
Democrats continue to be selfish and hold on to power. They are no better than the republicans. All of those people need to go. Death is doing what voters cant
Ok. Maybe a little better. I get what you are saying. But in whole the Nancy Pelosi regime needs to go
We need new and better parties. Not ones entrenched in decay and power
How about we place the blame on the republicans who voted for this? Not the people who didn’t know they were going to die. It idea that it is democrats fault when republicans control the house is really ignore what the problem actually is.
If you are on this platform, you should be adult enough to understand that multiple entities can be responsible for different parts of a problem. If we will not address the issues in the Democratic Party, we will never get out of this mess.
Democrats weren't courteous enough to retire when they are old/dying, die, then saddle us with the consequences. Just like Ginsburg when the Democrats controlled the Senate.
And this is why we need term limits. I don’t care what party they’re from. They’re all dynasty building and setting up. Their families party is irrelevant.
Hubris isn’t unique to members of any one political party.
The issue is that democrats can’t afford to lose members of Congress for any reason. If democrats communicated a strategy to address issues to voters, their margins might be greater.
Marches and writing letters isn’t a strategy.
FFS, media. Are you aware that all humans get older? and eventually die? Even Republicans? And they don't own crystal balls or time machines? THIS is the problem. Media act as though there's nothing the living politicians can do except wish the dead ones had been different. EYES ON THE BALL, please.

Just want to know the truth. These people should not have been in Congress imo

Parties need to do succession planning.
