Being disabled isn’t some abstract concept. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not something you can “try harder” their way out of.
It’s something that can happen to anyone at any time.
Once it happens to you, you will understand how little support exists. Help us & your future self will thank you.

Each and every one of us is just an accident, injury or disease away from becoming disabled ourselves.
The longer you live, the more likely it is to happen.
Live long enough and it’s almost a certainty.

In grade school?
Maybe during PE and woven into other specials for EL.
Maybe during gov/econ and psych/soc for HS.
And, make it cross curricular, as in STEM classes plans towns + structures with more access.
Maybe during community-building projects in MS.
But hey thats a great idea!!
Don’t discount the disabled, we are stronger than you think. We are survivors.
